The hotel is located in Ujong Pasir, next to Melaka’s bustling, picturesque Portuguese Settlement with its plethora of restaurants and nightlife. We are about 4 km from the center of Melaka, Malaysia’s oldest port, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.
Easy access to historical sights, entertainment and shopping. About 10-15 minutes to drive to Jeti Syahbandar, the ferry terminal where Melaka’s Maritime Museum is located, to Jonker Walk with its antiques, arts and crafts shops, and to the vast Dataran Pahlawan mega shopping mall.
See the tropical forest and exotic animals in Ayer Keroh, a 25-minute drive inland. There is also a planetarium and attractions for kids. For pretty beach resorts, drive north up the coast to Tanjung Kling, Pantai Kundur and Tanjung Bidara. Count 30 minutes to an hour.
Tours & Excursions
Explore Melaka’s multicultural history with visits to the Stadthuys, the oldest Dutch building in Asia, and next to it, Porta de Santiago, or A Famosa, all that remains of a 16th-century Portuguese fortress. The Stadthuys houses a museum complex dedicated to history from colonial times to the present day. And for incredible views of this unique city, take a ride up the 80-meter Menara Taming Sari tower, or a 45-minute river cruise.
There is a vast array of outlets at the Dataran Pahlawan mega-mall, the city’s newest shopping center. Don’t miss Mahkota Parade, practically opposite, which was recently upgraded with 200 shops and 1,000 parking slots. In Chinatown, Jonker Walk is reputed for its original, ethnic shops. While you are there, check out the Orang Utan House for the most unusual souvenirs, including T-shirts and small artworks by local artist Charles Cham.
We serve a delicious breakfast with local dishes as well as a cooked and Continental breakfast.
